T O P I C R E V I E WwheelsofcheeseI am interested in how many aspects you have on your chart.I am counting major and minor aspects betweenplanets, Chiron, angles and NN.I just counted 43 on my chart. ie, I counted each line once. It seems bewildering. I don't necessarily think more = more difficult but it does sort of make me feel where do I start! I would be interested to know the range. Does anybody have more than me and if so, want to join me in therapy? And who has very few? What's the average? (I'll do the maths, according to the number of respondents). What's people feelings about a lot/few aspects? Do people think that minor aspects are just minor? I was reading about quincunx's yesterday - they are sneaky critters aren't they? Well I think so. Some of the aspects I "feel" very strongly. Others I'm not sure about. I'm interested in aspects more and more now (I am taking astrology incredibly slowly I find, I wish it wasn't so, but I am starting to see why it is a lifetime occupation).PeaceAngelCool questions. I think the minor aspects depend upon the planets involved and also the aspects, but the degrees are important too. quote:I would be interested to know the range. Does anybody have more than me and if so, want to join me in therapy? ROFL! I've got some shockers in my chart.I've got quite a few aspects - haven't counted them. Don't think as much as yours though. I'm always confused with the degrees. I've been told I'm very strict with the degrees. Astro.com uses up to 10 degrees, which I think is really wide. But then, using that rule, it gives me an Aries stellium (which, you know, am I going to deny myself that? :laughing . But also I have some aspects with wide orbs (6-7 degrees) and they fit my personality.I'll be interested in the responses here. Lots to learn from this one. wheelsofcheeseInteresting about degrees PA. What's the consensus with degrees then? I hadn't thought about it (see, lots to learn). I have just noticed that my Venus/Neptune opposing Moon is quite a wide orb. Which makes me feel a bit better as I struggle with this opposition, maybe it's less important than I thought. Ho hum. I would gladly ditch some of the aspects believe me!PeaceAngelAnd that's the other part to it - how much do we deny an aspect because of a too wide orb so that we can tell ourselves we're not so affected by it.LOL! Funny thing though - different rules for different aspects. If it's a trine or something a 7 degree orb would be more acceptable than a square, for instance. How convenient. But then, there are some astrologers that do say that the different aspects too qualify for different degrees. I try to stick with tight orbs. But then I've got that Ascendant trine Neptune at 7 degrees and it fits perfectly. LOL! Not as good as the 1 degree Sun conjunct Ascendant though.Ah, what do you do. So many different branches of thought and interpretation in astrology - just have to find what works for you.aqua/scorpHmm I count 50 in my chart.
